- Social Data: Follows, likes, comments, household memberships, and your private list of users you have blocked.
- Safety Data: Reports you submit about other users or content, including the reason category, any notes you provide, and a reference to the reported item. This data is used solely for content moderation and is not shared publicly.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app (pages visited, features used, search queries) to improve the experience.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalize the dollop service, including AI-powered recipe recommendations.

3. Third-Party Services
dollop uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Cloud database and authentication (hosted in the US).
- OpenAI: AI-powered recipe classification and extraction. Recipe text is sent to OpenAI for processing; no personal data is included.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management.
- Mixpanel: Product analytics (anonymized usage data only).
- Sentry: Crash reporting (no personal data included).
Tracking: dollop does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and we do not use the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA). We do not share your personal information with data brokers or advertising networks.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described above with our service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the app.
5. Data Retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (recipes, meal plans, profile information, blocks, and reports you have submitted) is permanently deleted within 30 days. Reports you have submitted may be retained in anonymized form for safety record-keeping.
6. Your Rights
- Access: You can view all your data within the app.
- Export: You can export your recipe data from Settings.
- Deletion: You can delete your account from Settings, which permanently removes all your data.
- Opt-Out: You can disable analytics tracking from Settings.
- Block Management: You can review and unblock users at any time from Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.
7. Content Moderation, Reporting & Blocking
dollop hosts user-generated content (recipes, photos, comments, and profiles). To keep the community safe, we operate a multi-layer moderation system:
- Automated review: All uploaded content is screened by AI moderation before it appears in the Discover feed.
- User reports: Every recipe, comment, and profile in the app has a Report button. You can submit a report under one of seven categories (spam, harassment, hate speech, sexual content, violence, intellectual-property infringement, or other) and attach optional notes.
- Blocking: Every user profile has a Block button. Blocking a user immediately removes their content and profile from your view across the Discover feed, search results, and any shared spaces, and prevents them from interacting with you.
- Review commitment: We review every submitted report within 24 hours and take action on content that violates our community guidelines. Action may include removing the content, restricting the offending account, or permanent termination for repeated or severe violations.
If you encounter objectionable content or abusive behavior, please report it from inside the app or email support@cocoplum.io.
8. Children's Privacy
dollop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
