Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using dollop ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. The App is operated by Cocoplum Inc. ("we", "us", or "our").

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You may create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, Facebook Sign-In, or as a guest. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You retain ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you create or upload ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the App to provide the service (e.g., sharing recipes with other users, displaying in the Discover feed).

You agree not to upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms and may restrict or terminate your account.

Imported recipes: When you import a recipe from a third-party website, the App automatically attributes the recipe to its source and you may not claim authorship of imported content.

All uploaded content is subject to automated AI moderation. Content that violates our community guidelines (NSFW, violent, non-food-related) may be removed automatically. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions under our three-strike policy. Safety violations cannot be appealed; relevance violations may be appealed from the Settings menu.

Every recipe, comment, and user profile in the App includes a Report button and a Block button. You can report content or users you believe violate these Terms under one of seven categories: spam, harassment or bullying, hate speech, sexual content, violence, intellectual-property infringement, or other.

Our commitment: We review every submitted report within 24 hours. Action may include removing the offending content, warning the user, restricting their account, or permanent termination for repeated or severe violations.

Blocking: Blocking another user immediately removes their content and profile from your view across the App and prevents them from interacting with you. You can review and unblock users at any time from Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.

To report abuse outside of the App, email support@cocoplum.io.

We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@cocoplum.io with the subject line "DMCA Notice" that includes:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• Identification of the material in the App that you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail to permit us to locate it (e.g., the recipe URL or username).
• Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We will respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address. We may terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

dollop offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions ("dollop Pro"). Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

The App uses artificial intelligence for recipe extraction, classification, and recommendations. AI-generated content (dietary tags, nutritional estimates, ingredient substitutions) is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for medical, dietary, or allergy decisions. Always verify ingredient lists and nutritional information independently.

Recipes in the App, including ingredient lists, allergen tags, and nutritional information, are user-generated and AI-classified. They are not verified by a medical professional, dietitian, or food-safety authority.

If you have a food allergy, intolerance, dietary restriction, or medical condition, you must independently verify every ingredient before preparing or consuming any recipe. Cross-contamination, substitutions, and ingredient-label changes are common and the App cannot detect them. Cocoplum Inc. is not responsible for any allergic reaction, illness, or other adverse outcome arising from your use of recipes in the App.

Nothing in the App constitutes medical, nutritional, or dietetic advice. Consult a qualified professional before making dietary decisions, especially for children, pregnant or nursing individuals, or anyone with a medical condition.

The dollop name, logo, and app design are the intellectual property of Cocoplum Inc. Recipes imported from third-party websites remain the property of their original creators. dollop does not claim ownership of third-party recipe content.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. COCOPLUM INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FOOD ALLERGIES, DIETARY REACTIONS, OR NUTRITIONAL INACCURACIES.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings menu, which will permanently remove all your data.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes through the App.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

The following terms apply when you access dollop through Apple's App Store. To the extent they conflict with anything else in these Terms, the following control:

• These Terms are entered into between you and Cocoplum Inc. only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Cocoplum Inc., not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
• The license granted to you for the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms.
• Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
• Cocoplum Inc., not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your possession or use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer-protection or similar claims.
• In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual-property rights, Cocoplum Inc., not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
• You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
